Sparrow Creek Ranch was built by the Fullerton Family when their eldest daughter was getting married, wanted to be wed in her hometown but nothing quite suit the couple's country personality. So they built SCR barn and cleared away brush to create a perfect hill top outdoor ceremony site. To all the guest's bewilderment of pulling up to the most gorgeous "barn," they had ever seen the groom's family from Houston immediately asked, "are you going to rent this out!?"
The Fullertons had never even considered it. They intended to turn the barn into well, a barn after the wedding. But, the overwhelming requests from local families to have other weddings there finally convinced the family to open it up. SCR is unique in that it is built primarily out of repurposed materials such as, old bridge beams for the supports, tin and wood reclaimed from barns, homes, and gyms torn down in the area, and details like chandeliers and door handle from antique markets all over the world. SCR isn't like another venue because it wasn't built for public consumption originally, so every detail is special and has a story (likely from Kevin (dad) rescuing some amazing door from an abandoned building before it was torn down). It is completely family owned and operated and set on a beautiful ranch in North Texas.

My wedding at SCR in 2012 was nothing like any of my guests had seen! My husband's family was from Houston and this was before the 'barn wedding' frenzy! So, they were shocked by the beauty and uniqueness of the rustic feel emphasized with elegant chandeliers. It was the perfect place.
